These are great quality and fit just as expected. I'm 5'9 and a 4/27 in pants, and I purchased the Medium. They fit well on the waist and still have some room/stretch. More importantly, they're a great length- they're super cute but long enough to cover my butt when moving around or bending over. The small stripe across the bottom at the back is surprisingly flattering, too!I have several pairs of these shorts in different colors. This pair bought from amazon is exactly the same as the pairs I bought from Macy's. Fit great. Wash great. Will buy more from Amazon.True to size and image. I'm 5'2, 180 lb. Size14 in jeans. They are great for running around on the weekends . They are a terrific bright white. I would recommend them to anyone. They fit perfectly. They washed great. I wash delicate cold and lay flat to dry..on these type of fabrics I don't use fabric softeners..ever..I've tried a lot of brands and a lot of styles of running shorts. This is my favorite.
