I normally wear a medium (size 7) in non cycling shorts and jeans. Over the years I have discovered that most cycling shorts run small so I order a large. Pearl iZUMi shorts run very small so I order extra large. So when purchasing cycling shorts, bibs or leggings keep this in mind. I have seen many negative reviews about the chamois (pad) in this pair of shorts. However I find the chamois very comfortable on rides over 50 miles. In the last year I logged about 3000 miles in my last pair of Pearl iZUMi Elite Escape Half Shorts. I need a new pair because after that amount of mileage they where getting a bit thread bare. I highly recommend these shorts to the avid cyclist. I have cycled two hundred miles in the new shorts.
