I usually wear an xs in Pearl Izumi shorts, but going on other reviewers suggestions I ordered a size up. They fit fine, but I do wonder if an xs would have fit. I like the drawstring, especially when striping off my wetsuit. The chamois is thin (to be expected in tri shorts that need to dry quickly), and isn't sewn all the way in, only on the sides, not the top and bottom - hasn't been a problem for me. However after a few wears (2-3) the seam on the inner leg started to unravel in one spot. Pearl Izumi and Amazon said this was rare, Amazon sent me a replacement pair, will see how they hold up!
