I got these in the mail yesterday and tried them on today. I am 5'6" about 152 lbs and usually wear a medium/size 8. Based on the reviews I ordered up and got a size 10. I love the way they fit around my thighs and butt (which is the larger part of of my body), but they are HUGE around my waist. This however is the usual problem I have with pants/shorts. I think the size 8 would have been too tight around my legs/butt as the material doesn't have much give. Even though they fit a little large around the waist, they are really comfortable. I will likely keep them and order one more pair. The material doesn't hug tightly or display cellulite. The length is age appropriate, which is also a struggle I have buying shorts. I am a mom in my 30's, therefore I don't want short shorts, but I also didn't want old lady pants, which they are not. One reviewer stated that they are a little low cut, which they are... I likely won't be able to wear my super comfy granny panties, but I will adjust accordingly.no stretch. Tight fitting. The legs were a bit wide for me which makes the swishing sound when you walk loud... I ended up altering the legs for a slimmer fit.These shorts were very well made and felt good on. I think the fit was kind of running big for Columbia but that’s fine, they are a bit roomy, not baggy. These days it’s hard to get consistent quality even within a brand but I’ve been happy with this brand. (Quality is good, sizing varies.) I’d give them a five star but I don’t feel they are true to size.Love the fabric, but the front and thigh pockets are pretty small. I have to carry my cell in the rear pocket. My size 8 is very true to size, i.e. the crotch is uncomfortable when sitting. I'm 5'7 and 145.Shorter than expected and a bit tight in the waist but overall a well made product. I think Columbia makes quality clothing and I know these will last a long time.I wore them while hiking in the Smoky Mountains and found them to be comfortable and light.These shorts are very comfortable and light weight, I wore them hiking in 100 degree heat in Utah and they dry quickly. Easy to hand wash too. I'm 5'4" and the are knee length, I just wish they were a little shorter.very nice and good quality short,my mother is 150 cm tall and 53 kg, she wears shorts/pants in petite size 6, thank you for the other reviewers they mentioned this short runs small, so i bought in each colour size 8 and all fits very well on her, just perfect ,not tight,not baggy just like a normal size 6 short,thank you for the nice and helpful review for Silas Molino, and the others who wrote a review !
