First, let me preface this review with the fact I read the other reviews and ordered up 1-2 sizes. I usually wear a Large in loose fitting running shorts and a Medium in compression shorts/pants, but the melon color was less than $5 in Extra Large. The reason I give these shorts 4 stars, is they are one of the few women's running shorts that have ample pockets. To me, that is WONDERFUL! I have other shorts that I can barely fit a car key into. They seem well made and have a nice lining. The sizing really stinks though. It is a bit demoralizing to wear 1-2 sizes larger, and they are not loose or anything. My advice on these shorts - order up and only buy if they are a bargain. They are not worth the MSRP.These are nice shorts. I have two pairs. They're awfully square and I don't think the fit is flattering. I wouldn't wear them just to wear them. I run in them and that's it. I love the wide waistband and the zippered pocket in the back. Just wish they were cute!Got the XL because it was only $3, very baggy on a 32" waist and go barely above the knee they're like boxing shorts. For how big they are they should have decent pocketsI usually buy a small in running shorts, and these seem pretty snug. I haven't had a problem with them riding up, but I have only worn them for shorter runs since they are a little tight on me. The piping material on the shorts seems like it will come off after several washes, but time will tell. The back pocket is nice for keys, gu etc.I'm used to this type of running short having a bit more Lycra (thus "give") which these do not have.I usually wear size small in Asics running shorts, but this is too small. I can't even wear it
