As the title states, I loved the length of the 10" long inseams. I ordered my usual size, however, and found them to be a bit snug around the waist. That being said, I admit I probably need to drop 5(or so) pounds... but other clothes of the same size fit fine, so I think these shorts may run a bit small. Snugness aside, I chose to keep them because I like them, the next size up would probably be too big, and I figure it's incentive to lose those 5(or so) pounds. The shorts are supposedly made for fishing in, but they are probably too nice (in my opinion) to wear for that purpose. I wore them to LegoLand a week ago, went on a water ride, and my shorts got completely soaked. This made them very clingy on my butt-region and they took a long time to dry. I had to wonder what about these shorts make them suitable for fishing... after all, you never know when you might fall into the lake trying to reel in the "big" one. Overall, they look nice (when dry) and seem to be well-made.I really like these shorts. I gave them a four star because I had to return them. I ordered a size . I wear a size 4 in Mountain Hardwear clothing which is sold by Columbia. I would recommend checking it out. Anyway, the shorts were too small. I am not a perfect size 4. I have had three children. These capris are more suited to a size 4 who has no body fat at all. I now have had this two times, both with Bonehead items. It is the Bonehead label clothing. Very nice clothing.I could not believe the price of these Columbia shorts for the quality. Very lightweight fabric with fun colors and designs. This short has a fitted waist and small leg holes for a very body hugging, but comfortable fit. I am 5'7" and 130 pounds and ordered the size 6, which was true to size and compares with fits from brands like Banana Republic. If you are looking for a loose fit, this is not the right style of short, but if you want something that fits a little more like skinny jeans, these are great.I am very happy with these shorts. They are comfortable, well-made and flattering. My only issue is the size. They run very small. I suspect this maybe the reason they are such a good deal. I had to return the first ones I ordered in size 8x7, even after sizing up as the other reviewers suggested. In my case two sizes up worked perfect. They are a little loose, but not sloppy. One size up was still a bit snug at the waist and this material is not giving or flattering when pulled tight. I will be ordering more now that I've figured out the sizing.The shorts are perfect for golf. The material is light weight which is great for the 90 degree weather we've been having. The quality met my expectations. I ordered a pair in every available color. I'm usually a size 6 but had to go up a size. The size 8's are perfect.I returned a pair of size 6 because they ran small. I would advise getting the next larger size to anyone contemplating ordering them.Very cute shorts but be aware that they do run small. I took other reviewers advice and ordered a size up and I am happy I did. I usually wear a size 8 but ordered a 10 and they fit great.I wanted to love these shorts- the construction is great, the fabric is nice.... but i ordered the size i usually wear in other brands (size six) and these were pretty much a whole size smaller. I couldn't get them up around my hips, let alone even dream about zipping them. These will be going back and i'll try a size larger than i normally wear next time.As other reviewers have posted -- buy a larger size than your normal. These shorts are a bit rigid around the waistline so not that appealing (or comfortable) if you have muffin top tendencies. The shape on the shorts are also a little odd and the butt puffs out after a short period of wear. Not my favorite shorts ever but just OK.
