This is the first elite that I have bought. I think they are well made. Nothing I hate more is a thin band and I have only found one other pair of shorts that have a wide band - Nishiki, but I cant find those particular ones anymore. Thin bands that have the nonslip are a good idea but the way that it is made is all wrong. They are constricting and this band is nice and wide..look close at the leg opening. Excellent. I do wish the waist was about 1 inch higher. I am 5'71/2 and these sit right at or just below the belly button after riding for a while. I like my button under the short. I have used these at the gym for a 1 hour ride and did well. I have worn these on a 30 mile ride so far and they did feel a little uncomfortable, but I think its because I don't take a break if I don't have to. I do stand occasionally. I plan on trying these at my 45 mile next month. I need to be sure that I have a pair for century. I would definitely recommend for shorter rides, but will have to wait to give an eval of a metric or a complete century.I'm 100 lbs and 5'3", the XS wasnt easy to put on but not very difficult either. Some wiggling was needed but they feel absolutely great. The quality is great, the slippery feel, and the chamois and excellent quality. I ride 23 miles on average and even though I'm wearing these, I still get bruises on my butt and my lady parts get sore. But I am not sure I can really blame the shorts, I have a bony butt. I get bruises on my butt from going to a movie theater, and those seats have like 3 inches of padding. Since they are great quality and feel awesome, I think these deserve 5 out of 5.The shorts are quite nice - although they were a gift for a friend who only recently was able to try them on. The medium was just a little too tight - so she wanted to know if she could try the large. But apparently I'm too late to exchange them. Amazon - is that correct ?We've been shopping around bike shops for good, higher quality shorts...prepared to drop 80 to 150 on good quality shorts. I liked Pearl Izumi's but they don't have my size in stock. Love that AMZ offers free returns so you can try on for size and not be stuck with them. These feel great...very comfortable. Get a size up - 5'6 160lbs wear size 10-12 pants depending on brand- XL fits great. Love the comfort leg grips...not too tight around the thighs. I ordered 2 more colors. These bike shorts are just not cut right for me. Already returned. Plus the orange color looks like something out of the 80s. I thought that would be a good thing (yay for throwback) but it's just not cute. Seemed well constructed but fit is weird.Super comfy and fits true to size. I'm 5'4 115lbs, and am pretty much always a small. I like that the leg grippers on these are not just a gel band or beads, bit rather a 2.5inch piece of a slightly grippy fabric. And with a 9inch inseam, there is no riding up and no sausage case look. Chamois is comfy but I have not done any long rides with it. After getting and liking the blue ones, I got the orange pair as well.I now have 3 of these because they work better than another pair I purchased. They are a good quality and don’t break your bank.I like these shorts, and the chamois pad. Would have given them 5 stars but they seem more like XS rather than S. I have other Pearl Izumi shorts in size small, but these are definitely smaller.Muy buen material y pad, Hay que considerar la.medida la XS es tamaño para niña como de unos 10-13 años delgada.Gute Polsterung auch für längere Einheiten.
